There exist energy points along the spine of the human body that are known as chakras. These are subtle energy vortices that act as interfaces between our material body and our energy body (aura). The word chakra comes from Sanskrit (Indian) and means wheel. Viewed from the front and back, the chakras can be perceived as a rotating wheel that looks like an opening lotus flower. The number of petals of the flower shown in the symbols corresponds to the number of connected vertebrae and nerve pairs that go away from the spine at this point. 1 Viewed from the side, they have a funnel shape. Depending on the direction of rotation, energy is either absorbed or released. They are not visible to most people. However, you can feel them if you hold your hand over them. With the right training and enough practice, you can also learn the visual perception. According to ancient Indian texts, there are thousands of such points all over the body. In general, however, the focus is on the seven main chakras, which I would also like to discuss here.

The chakras are connected to certain areas of the body, glands and organs. They actively influence our bodily fluids and our health. The spine acts as a connecting channel between all the chakras and allows the life energy to flow throughout the body. The first thing you learn in Reiki training is chakra balancing. Because only when the chakras are open and balanced do we have any chance of complete healing. If the chakras are unbalanced or even closed, the life energy does not flow properly and we become ill. We primarily balance the opposing chakras and then try to harmonise the whole system. We work from the outside inwards towards the heart chakra, the seat of the soul. This alone can have an amazing effect. Then we look for other energetic disturbances and work on them accordingly.

Specific colours and life themes are associated with the chakras. They give us clues as to what we should change in our lives and what we need to deal with. For example, if the heart chakra is closed, it is difficult to experience and give love. If the throat chakra is closed, we have problems communicating and expressing our personality. It should be noted that these connections work in both directions. If I don't express myself and always swallow my anger, I close my throat chakra. As a result, it becomes increasingly difficult to communicate openly and honestly over time. There may also be problems with the vocal chords (speaking out), the ears (listening) and the thyroid gland. Energetic treatment can help to release these blockages, but only by addressing the issues that have caused the blockages will there be a long-term improvement.

The following list is a summary of information from various sources. Depending on who you listen to and which text you read, there are small differences in the descriptions. I have taken the liberty of summarising mental, spiritual and physical themes in one point each, both positive and negative. This makes things easier for me. I can see at a glance what is relevant for which chakra. The numbering starts at the lowest chakra because the energy flow from the bottom to the top represents the path from matter to consciousness. Each chakra has a direct influence on the following one. If you want to open the crown chakra completely in order to strengthen the connection to your higher consciousness, you must also take care of the others. When all chakras are open and the energy flows freely, spirit and matter are united. This process is known as the awakening of the Kundalini snake.

Each chakra operates in a very specific frequency range. They can be specifically strengthened with food, fragrances, stones, crystals, colours, sounds and physical exercises. On yogaeasy.de you will find a good overview including specific yoga exercises for each individual chakra. Use Google to translate if needed. Although for the videos you don't really need a translation. You can also simply surround yourself with the corresponding colours. For example, to strengthen the throat chakra, dress in blue. Or use blue bed linen, blue bath salts and blue jewellery. Certain tones and sounds also go with each colour. The correlations can be found if you connect the frequencies of the colours of the rainbow with the 432Hz scale according to Pythagoras and the Solfeggio frequencies (Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti). 2 3 Harmonic frequency combinations create resonances. Explaining this here is beyond the scope of this page. I will do that elsewhere another time. If you're interested, take a look at https://mathemagicalmusic.weebly.com/sound-and-color.html. The whole website is very interesting. You can find plenty of meditative music with these frequencies on YouTube. Have a look at my playlist if you like. The most important frequencies are listed above. You can use them to orientate yourself.

Chinese medicine uses a system of so-called meridians. These are energy channels that run through the entire body. Here, too, we find the concept of the flowing life energy. Depending on the complaint plaguing the patient, the corresponding meridian line is treated in order to restore the flow of energy. It is interesting to note that one of the most important meridians, the "Governing Vessel", runs through all the chakras described here. It starts at the coccyx, runs along the spine up the back over the crown of the head and ends on the front at the upper lip. This corresponds to the concept of the Indian Kundalini. The descriptions of the life themes and organs assigned to the meridians are also very similar to the chakra system. Interestingly, the Chinese teachings include the elements wood and metal but not air and ether. In principle, both teachings describe exactly the same thing using different terms. However, the Chinese version seems to me to be somewhat more detailed and emphasises the body, while the Indian version focuses more on the spiritual aspects. It's well worth the time to look into both.

The fact that this teaching has been used for thousands of years and that even western hospitals now use frequency therapies, shows that this is not just hocus-pocus. While researching this article, I came across hundreds of scientific studies from more recent times. There is a lot of research going on. I'm very happy about that. Humanity is on the way back to its origins. Modern technology is merging with ancient knowledge. In a few years it will be completely normal to cure illnesses with frequencies. :)
